Aiptasia anemones are among the most common pests in saltwater aquariums. They reproduce rapidly and uncontrollably , can displace corals , and even harm other invertebrates with their powerful stinging cells.
Once introduced – usually via live rock, new coral offshoots or imports – they are difficult to completely remove.
