Our Berghia snails are bred entirely in Germany and shipped directly from our facility . Thanks to controlled breeding conditions, we can offer you animals of excellent size, vitality, and quality – all at a fair price-performance ratio.
After just two months our Berghia reach a size of about * 2.5 cm .
🌿 100% reef safe & specialized
Berghia are completely reef-safe and feed exclusively on Aiptasia , one of the most common and persistent pest anemones in saltwater aquariums. They do not eat other organisms, making them ideal for targeted pest control.
🧪 Clean, safe breeding conditions
Our animals are raised in modern, clean systems without fish or other invertebrates. This minimizes the risk of introducing unwanted algae, pathogens, or parasites .
🌙 Behavior
Berghia are primarily nocturnal and prefer to retreat during the day. They only leave their hiding places when hungry, and can then also be observed foraging during the day.
🪱 Stocking recommendation
Previously, the rule was: 1 Berghia per 50 l of aquarium volume – to prevent them from running out of food too quickly.
Thanks to our new offering, you can now also purchase Aiptasia directly from us . This allows you to care for your Berghia long-term and doesn't have to be relocated immediately once the aquarium is free of Aiptasia.
✅ Recommended stocking density in case of heavy infestation: up to 5 Berghia per 10 l .
This allows for faster and more effective control of infestation and makes our larger packages particularly economical.

Avoid predatory fish: Many wrasse eat Berghia. Although the snails store the stinging cells of Aiptasia in their cerata, this doesn't provide reliable protection in the aquarium—especially during daylight or when they're foraging.
